Four finals set for Saturday, Sunday

Six horses from the finals of the 2011 Chauvinistic Cutting Horse Association Futurity in Fort Worth have ready for the 4-year-old Open Class of the Abilene Spectacular today at the Taylor County Coliseum.

The class is led by third place finisher Jae Bar One Time, owned by James and Gail Hooper of Decatur, Ala., and shown by Michael Cooper of Bacyrus, Kan. The rider-horse twosome scored 224 points for a check worth $104,170.

Saturday's earmark calls for the 2nd go-round of the 5 and 6 year-old Open at 8 a.m. with the 4-year-old Open Finals following.

Sunday's outline calls for finals in three of the four classes. The day opens with the 5- and 6-year-old Spread out, followed by the 4-year-old Amateur class go-round, the 5- and 6-year-old Unpaid finals and the 4-year-old Amateur finals.
