Izod Lacoste is a name brand name under license by Izod Lacoste 1952-1993. In 1953, Rene Lacoste, the Lacoste polo Supreme Being, has teamed up with David Crystal, incidentally owned both Haymaker and Izod to spread and transform the Lacoste polo. The name has been and is still in use accustomed to people who grew up wearing Izod Lacoste and so always use the name for both Izod and Lacoste.
