When I wash my button down shirts should they be buttoned or unbuttoned?

Question: Is she a difference in the life of the shirt? T it holds up longer if it is buttoned? Unbuttoned?

Answer: I mostly let my buttons. It keeps the shape of the shirt, and I think it is easier on the buttons.
